Open Hearth Cooking 2010

The Friends of High Point State Park will be hosting their annual Open Hearth Cooking Day on Saturday, October 30 from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM in the Interpretive Center at High Point.

Cooking demonstrations will be ongoing throughout the day. Visitors are encouraged to stop by at any time and taste a sample of the food that has just come off the hearth. A variety of foods will be prepared, including snacks, soups, meats, and desserts. Park souvenirs and crafts will be for sale, and there will be a seasonal story time with a coloring activity for kids at 1:00 PM.

This event is free of charge, but donations are appreciated. Proceeds support future Friends of High Point programs and events. The Friends of High Point State Park is a not-for-profit organization that supports historical, scientific, educational, recreational, and natural resource management activities within the Park.
